Well we started back in 1998. I was 10 and was involved in 4-H, this had been my second year. My mom always told me stories about when she was younger and she had bunnies, she told me she had Angoras and a Dutch rabbit. But had to get rid of them because of neighbors that didn't approve. As my mom always told me when I was very little walking around the Antelope Valley Fair I was always in love with animals and very inlove with rabbits. I had a Broken Black bunny when I was very little, and he was not a pet bunny, we got him from my uncle.
After that when I finally started to look into buying a rabbit in 1998 I wanted Holland Lops. However I decided when going to a pet shop to get a Netherland Dwarf doe. Getting a bunny from a pet store was a bad idea because she didn't have a pedigree and not only that but I had no idea of her temperment. It was very aggressive, however we bred her, and she had four babies. I decided that I didn't want to raise the breed because I spoke to breeders that said they weren't nice bunnies.
I went to a Pygmy goat show and saw a Broken Agouti Mini Lop buck, he was really sweet and decided to raise Mini Lops. But later decided again I didn't want to raise the breed. Well I started raising Holland Lops my first Holland Snip, bred her and got a awesome little Buck named Dallas who got Reserve in show as a junior. But he got bad teeth,

Well I sticked with the Hollands and my mom started raising Jersey Woolies and Angora's. She really liked them, but I am oddly enough, allergic to their wool, my mom and I went to the ARBA convetion in 2001 and we fell in love with Polish and she and I raised them together. But we have bounced back and fourth on so many breeds and now with me raising Silver Fox, and her and I raise Netherland Dwarfs and Polish. and Lionheads together it is a great mother daughter hobby and we enjoy going to shows together and being down in the rabbitry together.
We love raising rabbits and have been doing so since 1998 and now 2007 and will continue to do so until we are not able to.
